"Ma" is a terrifying thriller that transports us to a small town where everything seems peaceful and safe on the surface, but beneath lies something else. The story revolves around Maggie, an underage girl who moves to a new town in search of new friends. When she asks one of her building's tenants, Sue Ann, for a bottle of alcohol for herself and her friends, Sue Ann sees it as an opportunity to gain new, younger friends.

At first glance, everything seems fine, but soon it becomes clear that Sue Ann has her own rules. The children are not allowed to curse, they cannot climb the hill, and they must always be drunk. But this is not all - the children must also address her as "Ma", which becomes an increasingly ominous and cruel obligation.

All I can say is that "Ma" is a film that will leave no one indifferent. It's a thriller that scares and terrifies, but it also seems to be in some way captivating. The film's themes are very important and difficult to discuss because they touch on very serious issues such as childcare, abuse of power, and cruelty.
