His old friends, Jo and Mario, persuade him to participate in a jump on the jubilee. Initially, Tony refuses, but after meeting his old flame, Mado, who is now dating gangster Pierre Grutter, he changes his mind. The team also recruits Cezar, an expert at opening safes, and together they start planning the jump.

Acting and direction

Jules Dassin showed incredible talent in directing actors. Jean Servais as Tony is simply perfect. His character is full of depth and complexity, and Servais conveys it all in a very natural way. The directorship by Dassin is equally impressive, and the scene of the heist, which lasts over half an hour, is truly masterful.
